SAGE’s mission is “to inspire older adults to give forward.” Its Legacy Fellowship supports social entrepreneurs ready to bring their vision to life; applications are now open for the fourth cohort.
Changing the world takes more than good intentions. If you’re like most people, it can be difficult to decide what to do and how to start. A good first step is to join SAGE’s Legacy Fellowship; its fourth nine-month cohort launches this October. Individuals and teams are invited to apply (full information is available here).
Together with other Legacy Fellows, SAGE’s coach and advisors will help you define an area of need and then break down a solution into small steps. Upon completion, you’ll have created a project that has the potential to change your corner of the world for the better. Fourteen Legacy Fellows have completed the program to date; their projects focused on affordable housing, empowering girls and tackling climate change.
Wand to learn more? On June 22, 6:30 to 8:30 PM, the graduating cohort celebrates their work and the power of individuals to lead community change. Register ahead for this inspiring evening.
Founded in 2011, Portland, OR-based SAGE (Senior Advocates for Generational Equity) raises awareness about the major social, environmental and economic challenges that younger and future generations face, and engages older adults as leaders to address those challenges.
