Encore.org CEO Marc Freedman will share his perspective on “A Solution Waiting to Happen” at the United Nations’s 27th anniversary celebration of the International Day of Older Persons. The October 5 event, with the theme “Stepping Into the Future: Tapping the Talents and Participation of Older Persons,” will be simulcast from the General Assembly building starting at 3 PM Eastern Time.

Other presenters include Jorge Bravo, Chief of Demographic Analysis, Population and Development, Population Division, UNDESA, and a panel, which will include moderator Craig Mokhiber (Director of the NYC Office of the Office of the High Commissioner on Human Rights and Deputy to the Assistant Secretary-General for Human Rights), Frank Leyhausen (General Manager, MedCom International, Germany), Livingstone Byekwaso (Executive Director, SAWARKA, Tanzania) and Edward Rogoff (Dean, Long Island University and specialist on encore entrepreneurship).
