Covid-19 has underscored the vital role of technology in helping older adults stay in touch with people and information they need.

If you’re looking to add technology training to your programming, Oasis Connections offers a cost-effective curriculum with 30 classes (19 translated into Spanish) and tested train-the-trainer materials. Class topics include internet safety and learning how to use devices, including PCs, tablets and smartphones.

Since direct program delivery to older adults is not possible right now, this is a great time to get to know the Connections curriculum and learn how it could help you deliver technology literacy classes to your audience.

The Oasis Connections Facebook page has social media posts that help your participants avoid the new wave of scams and frauds. Want to expand your own knowledge on best practices for videoconferencing, stopping robo-calls or protecting your privacy on social media? The Oasis Connections You Tube channel is available 24/7 and offers a Spanish language playlist

As part of its mission to support healthy aging through lifelong learning, active lifestyles and volunteer engagement, Oasis is fast-forwarding the launch of virtual Oasis classes. The new service, Oasis Everywhere, will launch in June. Details coming soon.

AT&T and Spectrum are the program sponsors.
