Dr. Elizabeth Fideler, research fellow at Boston College’s Center on Aging & Work, is updating her findings about older Americans in the paid workforce, whose numbers are skyrocketing. In Women Still at Work (2012) and Men Still at Work (2014), Fideler wrote that mature workers are well-educated and have professional experience and talents that should not go to waste because of entrenched stereotypes about aging and retirement.
We invite Encore Network members to respond, if you are age 60+ and working for pay (full-time, part-time, self-employed or consulting). We also encourage members to share the survey request with your audience, to generate more data for this valuable project. Please contact Dr. Fideler at: lizpaulfideler@icloud.com.
