When Lisa Jensen shares her encore story, people listen. She started her career as a registered nurse in acute care, and then moved on to develop creative and successful programs in clinical research, compliance, public health, health promotion, and workforce pipelines. After 23 years in leadership roles on the CU Anschutz Campus, the pilot program she was working on closed due to COVID funding cuts. She gained a personal perspective of the obstacles older job seekers face during 14 months of lay-off, and now in her role as the Career Services Program Manager at Workforce Boulder County, she’s out to make sure others get help to reenter the workforce with the support they need and a healthy, strengths-forward approach.
