Atalaya Sergi is Director of AmeriCorps Seniors, which matches over 170,000 older adults annually to service opportunities through RSVP, Foster Grandparents, and Senior Companions programs. Previously, Atalaya served as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships & Programming at Jumpstart for Young Children in Los Angeles. She founded the Los Angeles Generation to Generation initiative through Encore.org and was selected as an Encore Public Voices Fellow, writing about the positive impact of older adults in educational settings. Atalaya has worked in public school districts and served on several advisory committees, councils, and coalitions. She is a graduate of University of Virginia and Virginia Commonwealth University.
