Jeopardy Host Ken Jennings quoted Shakespeare as calling “the afterlife ‘the undiscovered country, from whose bourn no traveler returns’” in Jenning’s recent book, 100 Places To See After You Die.
Join us as Marie Roberts cites Jenning’s book to guide us on a spiritual tour of the afterlife. She’ll use 100 Places as a frame of reference from which to discuss the versions of traditional spiritualities and contemporary society regarding what may happen after death.
While there’s no requirement to read this book to attend, know that it’s written like a travel guide — sometimes irreverent, sometimes serious — of different interpretations of the afterlife, from the viewpoints of mythology, religion, and ideas found in books, movies, and TV – from eons before Egypt’s pharaohs to The Good Place.
Marie Roberts is an engaging speaker on spirituality and related topics of personal growth such as stress management, intuition development, aging as a spirituality practice, and possibility thinking. She is an author, workshop/retreat facilitator, teacher of yoga and meditation, minister, and spiritual director.
