AARP’s recent Longevity Economy Outlook report reinforces many of the major themes that Encore members have long been focused on. The report explores the wide-ranging impact of the 50-plus population in the US, including $12.5 trillion in annual economic activity in 2024.

To share insights on this groundbreaking report, we are excited to welcome Lina Walker, AARP’s SVP of Global Thought Leadership, in a conversation with Lem Lloyd, founder of LongevityWorkers.com.

Dr. Walker leads AARP’s International Thought Leadership and Brain Health portfolios, advancing ideas, partnerships, and solutions that enable people to live healthier, longer, and more financially resilient lives.

Drawing on more than two decades of multisector experience across academia, government, and the nonprofit sector, Dr. Walker works at the intersection of research, policy, and practice to shape public dialogue and accelerate systems change on aging.

AARP is the largest non-profit organization dedicated to empowering the 125 million Americans who are age 50 and over. It is entering a pivotal time in its history with the appointment of a new CEO and a review of its priorities to ensure alignment with the longevity economy.

If you’re curious about AARP’s strategic direction and the important issues they’re targeting for the future, you’ll want to join us for this special session. There will be time for your questions.
